Good idea. In fact, if up to me, we`d create a 37th state carved out of Abuja or someplace, called Military State. They would be able to fulfill some of thire political ambitions here instead of constituting nusance threath to central government. The army remains one of the better institution in Nigeria, with just a little more application of the imagination , military could be a driver for excellence in the nation. We don't always have to copy the West.

Military governor, military police, military farms, military hospitals, military schools - hell, Military State may be so good, folks from all over the nation would be fighting to live there. Military never could run the Nation well when they were in charge, a State would be more manageable and army would be able to learn how to run a country ...ghen-ghen :

They have not maintained the exisitng schools with the outdated curriculumn another new one. This one na army university. I think the army in Niggeria really admite civilian lifestyles and want to as much as possible live in comfort

Biu has the best military cantonment ( Armor and Artillery) in the whole Borno state. In fact almost best in the NE, BH have been conquered and many of their attacks had been countered.


They find it hard to access the town due to it's plateau nature, Biu is located on a high altitude which makes their weather very cold, that's why it became home base for saving many military armor in Borno state.


Only town in Borno state that BH find's it difficult to penetrate and take over.



I think security issue won't be a problem.
