Cristiano Ronaldo continued his goaless streak for Juventus but the Italian champions kept their winning streak with 2-1 victory at promoted Parma on Saturday with goals in either half from World Cup finalists Mario Mandzukic and Blaise Matuidi.

World Cup winner Matuidi scored the decisive goal on 58 minutes after Croatia's Mandzukic, also a finalist in Moscow this summer, had scored after just two minutes in Emilia Romagna.

New Parma signing Gervinho -- back in Italy after two years with Chinese club Hebei China Fortune pulled one back after 33 minutes for the hosts who have returned to the top flight after three consecutive promotions following demotion for bankruptcy in 2015.

Ronaldo is yet to score but the seven-time reigning Italian champions are on nine points after winning all three of their games this season.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri told streaming broadcaster DAZN that "Cristiano had a good game, he made himself available, but it was a moment when the ball did not bounce back in the right direction,"

"I'm happy with what he's doing... After the (international) break he will surely get a goal because we'll all be in better shape."

Matuidi also said "He (Ronaldo) had a great match but no luck. He's going to be a little annoyed because he's hungry to score, but we're going to help him."

Allegri said he was impressed with Mario Mandzukic who has scored twice in the opening three games and set up Matuidi for the winner.

"I didn't expect Mario to be in this condition after the World Cup," he added.
