I met this plant in my land when I bought it, I would have uprooted it but one spirit is telling me to leave it and see the type of fruit it will bear in future so I started nurturing it till date.

Just last week I discovered it has lot of Fruits on it and I never see such fruit in my life. I dont have anybody that studied Botany around me who can tell me its name and usefulness of the tree or fruit.

Please can anybody help me ? Thanks.

The fruit looks like it's a Cucurbit, but Cucurbits don't have such a leaf style.

Can you cut the fruit tranversely so we can see the arrangement of the seeds inside?

If you can know any other plants that looks like it, then it can be traced within that family.

P.S. Deep down, my guess is that it's a useless plant.

No plant is totally useless oh. All plants have uses for those who know them well... Medically and traditionally.
