This is Theo Taylor, the smallest baby boy ever born in Britain to survive. Theo stopped growing in the womb when he weighed as much as a can of Coke and so doubtful were his chances of survival that doctors offered his mum Katie Rodes, 24, a termination the day before he was born. But he defied the odds to pull through and despite weighing just 12oz he battled to survive and his now home with Katie and dad Jay, 27.

Now six-months-old was born early at 26 weeks and five days is thought to be the smallest baby boy ever to be born and survive in the UK. Katie, a support worker, from Durham, said: ‘He’s a little fighter.
