TREASONABLE FELONY by Awo was the first coup in Nigeria especially by a civilian and it predated the January 15, 1966 coup which was initiated to make Awolowo Prime Minister of Nigeria according to his kinsman and major coupist Major Adewale Ademoyega who wrote the book WHY WE STRUCK.

OIL DECREE OF 1969 by Awolowo took away all rights to exploration of Crude and it's processing from states and made it the exclusive preserve of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

TRIBAL POLITICS brought Awo to limelight. Awo broke the ranks of the NCNC to create a niche for himself by raising ethnic fears YORUBA RONU.

CROSS - CARPETING without principles was invented by Awo in 1952 when he needed to steal victory from the NCNC in order for the AG to form government in Western Nigeria.

POLITICAL INTOLERANCE & VIOLENT POLITICS was the trademark of Awo who engaged his erstwhile deputy SL Akintola in burning and looting of the Western region in order to asset authority.
