While Kotlin is a relatively recent language when compared with other more established languages like Java and C++, it is quickly gaining traction. This is helped in no small part by the fact that Google announced that Kotlin is now officially a language for developing Android apps (and we know what percentage of the mobile app market Android holds!) and also the fact that Kotlin is basically Java on steroids without much of the boilerplate. Cool, huh!

So that out of the way, I'm creating a WhatsApp group for Kotlin users, Kotlin devs and Kotlin enthusiasts in Nigeria where we can interact, share ideas, teach, learn, help each other solve problems, share events and generally make ourselves better Kotlin programmers.
