I need some help. I would like to keep my car engine in the best state possible. Which engine oil do i use. some mechanics say Mobil, friends say Golden super, AP , Oando, that it doesnt matter. House help please |

It would be best to adhere to the manufacture specification asper the car manual and also another determinant factor is the mileage of the engine. Those names you mentioned below are simply brand names. What's more imperative is you ensuring you get the oil with the right viscosity, "as stated in your car manual" in order to dissidate any risk of poor engine performance.  |

A Mobile XHP that goes for ard 2400 at any mobile service station will do for ur Car spec |

i use the same vehicle and it came with the manual. it specifies oil viscocity of 5w 30, but i havent found that in naija here. so i use the available 20w 50, mobil. i also want to know the right time to change transmission oil. |

elite: Great. 5w 30 is also what a few websites say. Some Oil's with certain viscosity's are'nt easily found in naija, which is why motorists settle for the closest they can find. What we all need to know is if there is any dangers or risks in doing this. Maybe our in house techs can respond to this. Sienna, Sultaan, Onwan or anyone else, where una dey. |

@OP 5W-30 has the best recommendation for all temperatures for your vehicle's model. |

german007: Jamesbond, It's sunday so i will be a good boy.Yeah,i use a toyota camry and i use A-Z oil. @poster u should either use A-Z or Mobil Oil.Just those two.A word they say is enough for the wise.Take my advise |

@ Poster. I will advise you stick to using Mobil service station and although it is expensive but it is the best. I use Mobil 1, it cost 7grand. I buy four for my ( 3) cars and dont get to service again until 3 months ( service is done quarterly or every 5000). At Mobil you will get dude that are calm and give your car/s the require care and they are neat. |

i drive a camry and because i travel very often i use total quartz 9000 SAE 5w40 API SM engine oil for my regular oil change. the oil exceeds manufacturer's specs. |
