Syphax:

War Dance belongs to Ohafia. Other parts of Old Bende like Arochukwu, Item and Abam copied it from Ohafia.
Search Igbo War dance and what you will see is Ohafia War Dance.
Only you know which one is Copy and Original but I still maintain my point that Abam has War Dance. Goodnight brotherly

Don't get it twisted. No 1 is called Ohafia War Dance. It originated from Ohafia. The lyrics of tbe song is in Ohafia dialect. Get your facts straight please. Nothing like Abam war dance
Your ignorance amazes me!

As a young boy brought up in Igbo land, I know Ohafia to be the originator of the war dance in question. We used to know them those days as 'oji isi acho isi', 'Ebiriba oji azu agba egwu', etc. are all what fellow Igbos used to address them with.
The war dance is unique and has on many occasions been the cynosure of all eyes. For example, during the burial of the late Odumegwu Ojukwu, they were also invited to demonstrate the war dance. The whole credit goes to Ohafia not Arochukwu. I blame the ignorance of this to the history that has been removed in Nigerian's schools.
Even some years back, corps members from Ohafia won accolades for presenting it during the cultural competition held nationwide and they won as they registered the unique dancing steps that triggered the atavistic memories of those days.
I am not from Ohafia. I am here to correct the misleading information.

Here in Lagos we don't know them.

If it is not known in Lagos, it is not popular.

Phyno was only known when he moved to Lagos.

We are coming to change that, watch this space. This is one of the reasons i won:t invest outside Igboland.
