[size=14pt]I Am Healthy to Contest - IBB[/size] Abu Nmodu 4 July 2010 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Minna — Making his first public appearance on Saturday amidst rumour that he suffered a stroke, former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) declared on Saturday in Minna that he was hale and healthy. Gen. Babangida, who reluctantly responded to journalists' questions, said, "You can see for yourself that I am okay: seeing is believing," He was the chairman of the graduation ceremony of students of his late wife's school El-Amin International school (ELAI) minna. IBB, wearing his usual smile, parried most of the questions put across to him and said "even if they said I am dead, one day I will still die and, as a human being, you can fall sick anytime". Asked whether he was healthy enough to contest the 2011 presidential election, the former military president said yes. General Babangida, however, refused to respond to question on the position of some groups in the north that President Goodluck Jonathan should not contest 2011 presidential election. Meanwhile the wife of the president, Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan, who was the special guest of honour at the graduation, and represented by the wife of the vice president, Amina Namadi Sambo, said the EL-Amin International School was a legacy left behind by late Maryam Babangida which showed her commitment to human capital development and social change. http://allafrica.com/stories/201007050286.html |

Knowing IBB for what he is, he would never reveal that he has any ailment. I remember when there was a very strong rumour about the health of his late wife, the rumour was denied until it was no longer denied-able |

Under which party is ibb contesting election in nigeria. I think ibb is not a member of PDP If ibb would see the next election is doubtful due to his sickness. What does he wants . |
