This is a sad story, a sad story of us!

*How Osun State Incurred a Huge Debt in 8 Years*

*Osun 2018: Did You Know? #1.*
Aregbesola demolished over 300 blocks of classrooms built by the Oyinlola administration in order to erase the Oyin-Ni-O legacy. These demolitions cost hundreds of million Naira. Demolitions under Aregbe's regime were big contracts, and they were totalled in Billions.
*#HowWeIncurredHugeDebt*

*Osun 2018: Did You Know? #2.*
Aregbesola spent about 3 Billion Naira on Airport project with only fence and bush, or weeds to show for it. One can even be tempted to ask if he planted the weeds on that lot with 3 Billion Naira

*Osun 2018: Did You Know? #3.*
The unnecessary change of state's name from Osun state to State of Osun was not a child's play. Officially, hundreds of millions of Naira went for it. That's one of the silly steps we took into debts.
*#HowWeIncurredHugeDebt*

*Osun 2018: Did You Know? #4.*
Aregbesola fooled Osun with the impression that education can be totally free while he converted all economic benefits in buying and sewing of school uniforms into the private account of Sam & Sarah, while tailors and uniform materials sellers suffered and many went out of business because of this insensitive and selfish action. How about the Opon-imo scam- the contract he awarded his own son?

*Osun 2018: Did You Know? #5.*
Just imagine this: millions of Naira was spent on grasses that never grew and flowers that refused to blossom across the state. See Oke-fia to Olaiya Express Road for a proof.

*Osun 2018: Did You Know? #6*
All the infrastructural projects carried out under Aregbesola were awarded to Tinubu's loyalists from outside the state. Even the casual workers were not from the state. I lived with them around Freedom Park in Osogbo.

*Osun 2018: Did You Know? #7.*
'Walk-to-Live', (or shall we call it Walk-to-Chop, or Walk-to Embezzle?) was one of the scams of Aregbesola in his early years in power. State's resources were frivolously and recklessly wasted and looted through this scheme .

*Osun 2018: Did You Know? #8*
In his early days in office, Aregbesola gave the people of the state the impression that there's a better time to pay tax, he said how can you tax poor people. Then he went ahead to destroy the livelihood of same people, only to come back with iron hands to tax the now impoverished people.
*#HowWeIncurredHugeDebt*

*Osun 2018: Did You Know? #9.*
Aregbesola scrapped the study of Medicine at the state's owned university, sending the medical students abroad for study, largely with the state's borrowed fund. He was too blind to see into the vision of the state university having it's own teaching hospital soon, as Oyo state was about to part way with joint ownership of the institution, and the Lautech teaching hospital Osogbo would have been converted to Uniosun Teaching Hospital. But even now, Lautech is stranded, the teaching hospital is grounded.

*Osun 2018: Did You Know? #10*
Billions of naira were wasted into several unsustainable programs, like 'O' Meat, 'Omoluabi Scale' and several others which failed to fly. So when they claim on their jingles that America is developed because it is the most indebted nation, remind them that America never wasted borrowed money on frivolities.

*Osun 2018: Did You Know? #11*
Aregbesola didn't actually care about the civil servants in the state. Do you know why? Because they are practically doing nothing in their offices. All their works have been dubiously duplicated by Aregbe under the several newly created offices set up under the office of the governor and headed by his cronies from Lagos. So why would he care to pay the civil servants in the first place? Except to earn their votes.

The total amount spent on the construction of the Trumpet Bridge at Gbogan Junction could have completed the dualization of the same road from that Gbogan Junction to Okada, Ede. And what is the economic value of the Bola Babalakin Hall at that junction and so many other structures and monumental wastes, like the African tallest drum and gong, which littered the state in the efforts of this wasteful government to make Osun like Lagos state overnight?

Osun 2018: Did You Know? #13*
According to one of the APC campaign jingles on the radios, all the poor decisions taken by Aregbesola, including the half and quarter salary scheme has one man at its centre! That is Gboyega Oyetola (the one they call Ilerioluwa), the evil brain behind the many devilish decisions. Now the same man is the APC candidate for the coming election.
Osun, Wake Up! Wise Up!
We were not created to be mules to be ridden or muguns to be taken for granted.

It is time for our own liberation! It is time for Freedom!

South west governments are notorious over the years for borrowing at enormous costs in order to subsidize a hedonistic uwanbe lifestyle..In spite of the fact that Lagos is the richest state in Nigeria, she still borrows to fund contracts awarded to Pablo Tinubus companies while chronically mismanaging tax receipts.. Infact it is rumored that part of the problem they had with Jonathan was that Okonja Iweala refused to give them endless green light to borrow sumptuously from the world bank and their likes at their whims and caprices.. What do they do with all these borrowed funds? Your guess is as good as mine. Kleptomania.. In the end, they will fight tooth and nail to elect a desert iguana as president so that their borrow and spend habits will be allowed to run non stop. Show me any serious country that has been built like this....

Just imagine what it would cost to change all signage in the state from Osun State to State of Osun. Imagine how much it will be contracted out. Then you will have an idea of what the writer is saying
