APC Has Learnt From Its Mistake, We Will Not Field Opportunists As Candidates In 2019

National Chairman of the ruling party, APC, Adams Oshiomole, says his party has learnt from the mistakes they made in 2015 by fielding opportunists who sued their platform just to pursue their selfist interest and not that of the party. Oshiomole sats that come 2019, the same mistake will not be repeated.

While reacting to the defectrion of Senate President Bukola Saraki and speaker of the House of Reprsentatives, Yakubu Dogara, to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oshiomole in a statement released by his media aide, said the era of ”bread and butter politicians” in the party was over.

“Screening of aspirants is not a formality, that is why we tried to search for men and women of integrity who cannot be compromised. We do not want to field opportunists who are simply seeking a political vehicle for some selfish purposes.

“What has happened in recent past is enough for us to begin to look at the character of those who are seeking office in the APC platform.
