I really think it is all about character and upbringing. If you were brought up in such a manner, that's how you will behave. IMO, it goes both ways i.e. for the man and the woman.

Well I believe that when you have issues with your brothers or sisters you can discuss it with your spouse without putting them down. And also you don't tell your brothers or sisters about some issues concerning your spouse. What happens between you and your partner should be your business and what happens between you and your brothers and sisters is your business too but only to be discussed with yr spouse.

For the most part. It still depends on the spouse though. It definitely goes both ways because when you guys have ironed out issues others will still be carrying it on their head.

if the brother or sister is acting up or otherwise messing up and has already become the talk of the town, then not brainstorming the situation with your spouse might achieve nothing.

however, i see the op's point. Not everyone is mature enough to know how to handle information.

the spouse should also not act immaturely since any relative from either side can have issues.

of course i'm assuming the marriage is a normal one and not the cat and mouse games that pass for relationships these days.

this is why they say it takes a village and also why african cultures consider marriage a serious matter-you're marrying into a family, not only your spouse.

regardless how much love nwatintin dey do una.

anyway, prayer is more important.
