Skrill just dashed my plans!

Earlier this morning, I was reading a thread by Tabazz where he talked about his ordeal with Skrill.

That thread dates back to 2016 and chronicled how frustrated he felt after Skrill suddenly closed his account.

I had no idea I was to sip from the same cup of horror in less than 6 hours.

Okay... Here's how it happened

I decided to join freelancer.com to work after learning and honing my skills for a while.

When I started earning and I wanted to withdraw, I received my first shock - Payoneer was no longer working with Freelancer.com.

Okay, I decided to use PayPal but it turns out it would be a risk. As you know, PayPal doesn't accept Nigerians and the only option would be to create an account using another country's identity.

Well, I thought about my options and it turned out that if I attempt to use PayPal, I would have to login which means the site would be able to access my PayPal details. That's risky since the details won't match.

I don't like stress or risks, so I decided to opt for Skrill, and that's what led to this issue.

It was only today that I discovered Skrill closes account at will (for no sensible reason), and also, that other users are equally frustrated with their poor customer service.

So, I wanted to sell my Skrill funds only to see that I couldn't send funds to another Skrill account.

I decided to contact support. Two hours later, I received the email as captured in the screenshot below.

They withdrew $183 from my funds as administration fee. That's about 60k! Aren't these guys criminals?!!

I didn't do anything shady with my account. I have only two transactions in my history so far: one from a client who paid directly and the other from the freelance company I work on.

I must say, Skrill is a not an organisation worthy of patronage. It's obvious many others have experienced similar woes.

Right now, my dilemma is how I can withdraw as they said I can only withdraw to a Nigerian bank account. I don't have a domiciliary account and I don't really know what do do.

Those guys just want to ruin my day. Very saddening. Anybody with a similar experience? Anyone who can advise me on what to do?

Lol, sorry bro. The last part of Skrill email was actually funny. The company is strict as I have lost $1000+ with them and their brother company neteller. They own it too.

Link your local bank account to theirs to withdraw the rest.

Thank you, boss.

You lost $1,000? shocked shocked
Those guys have gone nuts!

Will my usual bank account be okay for the withdrawal? And have long does it take them to make the transfer of the remaining sum?

I actually have Payoneer.
Freelancer.com has removed Payoneer from its payment options. That was what necessitated my choice.

Please I was wondering if you could put me through on some skills I could also use to start working on freelance. Com
