Babyforever: Lol, the question no bad na. During my NYSC, my agent got me this house. I saw the man at his office and he said the agent should take me to the house. I got there and met his wife. She just saw me and said NO WAY. When we tried to understand why, she said "the flat is no more up for rent". I left confused and embarrassed. I got another and never saw the landlord. I once had an absent landlord who only knew me when he visited on a friday evening 11 months into my tenancy. On the day of the unannounced visit to see his tenants with the lawyer, the manager of the house, on knocking at the door and my asking the person to enter behold I was with my Gf whose head he saw was resting on my shoulder before I stood up to greet him. The next day I was served papers to vacate, on inquiring the reason I was informed that the landlord believed I could not renew my rent judging from the way the babe was leaning on me. It was eventually withdrawn but some landlords are funny. 5 Likes |
