Good day Everyone!
I'm a student of Federal University Lokoja. I am actually one of the pioneer students which means I was suppose to graduate in 2016.
I started the second semester of my final year with a clean slate. Unfortunately when the final result came, I had a carry-over in one of my courses.
I was devastated considering the fact I had financially squeezed my way through since my second year. I am an orphan with an elder sister who is in school too, a bedridden elder brother and a younger sister who just wrote jamb on the premise that I was finishing that year.
I was to re-write the exams in 2017 but due to family and financial reasons, I wasn't able to raise the fees. My younger sister had to forfeit her admission at ABU, Zaria too.

I went to school to appeal to the management to permit me to write the exams, promising to pay before I do my clearance but they didn't oblige me.
I returned back to Lagos and immediately started raising money for the next session. I gathered enough money from my private lessons and was ready to return to school but in April, my elder brother, whose sickness was the reason I was not able to pay the fees the previous year, died. I exhausted all I had on his burial and every other thing, sending me back to the base.
I was positive and believed I would be able to raise the money again. It didn't turn out that way but I eventually got the money but the school portal had already been closed.

Luckily, I had generated my RRR earlier so I was able to pay the fees and after begging the exam officers I was allowed to write the exam.
The problem now is that I couldn't confirm payment or do my registration which means when the result is out mine would be held back. I have written a letter to the school management and two months on, the portal is still not opened.
The school management keep reiterating that they have opened the portal a number of times already and would not be opening it again.

I seriously don't know what to do. I learnt the maximum time frame for a 4-year course is 6 years. Which means I would be exhausting mine after this year.

The results are still not out so I believe something can still happen but I don't know what. I don't even know who can help me.

Please is this how it happens in other schools and is there anything I can do because I can't just sit back watch six years of my life go down the drain.

Thanks for your suggestions !!!
