Why did God set aside the Law? Because it was of no use to save us from sin.

There was once a young man named Chudal Bae. In 1950, during the Korean War, the communist soldiers came and ordered him to sweep the yard on the Sabbath day in a bid to rob him of his steadfast religious faith and make him a communist. But this religious young man refused to obey their orders. They insisted, but the young man refused again. Finally, the soldiers tied him to a tree and pointed rifles at him. “Which do you want, to sweep the yard or to be killed?” When forced to make a decision, he said, “I would rather die than work on the holy Sabbath day.” “You made your choice, and we will be glad to oblige you.”

They then promptly shot him dead. Later, the church leaders appointed him a deacon posthumously to commemorate his unshakable religious faith. Despite his strength of will, his religious faith was misguided. Why couldn’t he have swept the yard and preached the gospel to those soldiers? Why did he have to be so stubborn and die for it? Would God praise him for not working on the Sabbath day? No.

The leaders of the church want to celebrate someone like Chudal Bae because they want to show off the superiority and orthodoxy of their own denomination. It is just like the hypocritical Pharisees who challenged Jesus. There is nothing we can learn from LEGALISTS. We should learn about spiritual faith. We should ponder WHY Jesus had to be BAPTIZED and BLEED on the Cross, and inquire into the NATURE OF THE GOSPEL OF THE WATER AND the SPIRIT. We should try to find answers to those questions first, and then try to spread the gospel to all the people of the world, so that they may be born again.

We should devote our lives to spiritual works. If a preacher tells you, “Be like this young man Chudal Bae. Keep the Sabbath holy,” he is only trying to get you to come to church on Sundays.

Here is another story which may prove enlightening. There was a woman who had to go through many trials to go to church on Sundays. Her parents-in-law were not Christians, and they tried hard to prevent her from going to church. They told her to work on Sunday. But she went out into the fields on Saturday nights and worked under the moonlight so that the family wouldn’t have any excuse to prevent her from going to church on Sunday.

Of course, it is important to go to church, but is it enough to come to worship every Sunday just to show how faithful we are? SUCH IS AN EXAMPLE OF A LEGALISTIC FAITH.

The sin of the world wasn't placed on Jesus during his baptism in water but on the cross.

God had established the LAW that sin MUST be TRANSFERRED to a sacrificial ANIMAL through ‘the LAYING ON OF HANDS' in order for all mankind to receive the REMISSION/ FORGIVENESS of sins.

Thus, in the days of the Old Testament, sinners IST had to lay their hands on the head of a sacrificial animal in order to TRANSFER THEIR SINS onto its head, before they now shed it's blood.( Leviticus 4: 27-29) However, as it was cumbersome for them to be performing these sacrifices daily and individually, God instituted that Aaron the High Priest offered this sacrifice of atonement for all the people of Israel as their REPRESENTATIVE, on a yearly basis. (Leviticus 16:21)

In exactly the same way, John the Baptist, having been allowed by God to be born into the house of Aaron as a high priest, performed the very task of TRANSFERRING ALL the sins of mankind upon Jesus, as their REPRESENTATIVE, by laying hands on Him through His BAPTISM, since it is impossible for the entire mankind to TRANSFER their own sins upon Jesus individually.

And so Jesus with His BAPTISM, TOOK AWAY ALL the sin of everyone including original and daily sins, thereby making us all SINLESS and RIGHTEOUS before Him, fit to enter heaven. Therefore we MUST have faith in the BAPTISM of Jesus as well as His DEATH on the cross in order to be truly bornagain and righteous. Jesus's BAPTISM is an indispensable element to our salvation , which if we omit, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to attain TRUE SALVATION.

The true faithful were born again of water and the Spirit. True faith begins when someone is born again. Can you be saved from your sins by living up to the law of God? No. I am not telling you to ignore the Law, but we all know that it is humanly impossible to keep all the articles of the Law. James 2:10 says, “For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.”

Therefore think first how you can be born again of the gospel of water and the Spirit. Then, go to a church where you can hear the gospel. You can lead a faithful life after you are born again. Then, when the Lord calls, you can go before Him with joy. Do not waste your time going to a false church, do not waste your money making misguided offerings. False priests cannot keep you from going to hell. First hear the gospel of the water and the Spirit and be born again.

Legalists seem pious, but you should know that they have to make new garments every day. Legalism is the faith in garments of fig leaves, the wrong faith. Many people try so hard to live piously according to the law of God. They bellow at the top of their lungs on the mountains so that their voice begins to sound quite pious.

Legalists cut an impressive figure when they lead prayer meetings at church. “Holy Father in Heaven! We have sinned this past week. Please forgive us...” They break into tears and the rest of the congregation follow suit. They think to themselves, “He must have spent a long time in the mountains praying and fasting. He sounds so pious and faithful.” But because his faith is legalistic, even before the prayer ends, the legalist’s heart begins to fill with arrogance and sin.

God Himself is God of Laws. He is a Faithful God meaning He sticks to the terms and conditions of the Law He makes with men and so in a sense God Himself is legalistic.

God, in making Laws with men in form of Covenants, calls on men to also be faithful to the agreement He makes with them .i.e. God expects us to abide by the terms and conditions of the Covenant, Law, which He gives to us. So, God is Legalistic and He calls on us to submit to and obey the commandments/laws He gives us meaning He calls us to the having of a legalistic relationship with Him.

The Gospel of the Kingdom of God is one whole Law whose name is Jesus Christ. Dividing the Law into parts makes as little sense as attempting to divide the person of Jesus Christ into different parts. The Gospel of the Kingdom of God is all or nothing and His name is Jesus Christ, the Law and Truth of God.

*Among the religious leaders of Christianity at the present, there are those who claim that Jesus took away our original sin but not our personal sins. The Bible does not speak of the original and personal sins, and no mention of such things is found in it.*

Before Jesus, all sins, great and small, from those we were born with to those that belong to us and those that we commit with our own acts—indeed, every possible sin—are the same, all manifested as the sins of the world. Water is water, whether it is sewage water or tap water. No one knows for sure when people started to distinguish their original sin from their personal sins.

*Because many Christian leaders themselves have not been born again, they do not know how to solve all the problems of sin, and because they do not know, they have turned Christianity into a mere religion, claiming that God would forgive our sins if we ‘repent’ our sins. The word ‘repent’ is far different from the word ‘confess’ (1 John 1:9).*

What is repentance? It only means to turn around; it does not mean praying for God to forgive us of our sins. God has said that He wants us to give Him offerings that ask for His mercy and grace. Having compassion for the souls heading to hell because of sin, God wants to save us—this is what His heart is all about. What His heart desires is to make the sinful beings sinless and holy through Jesus Christ and thereby enable them to take part in His Kingdom, and He has indeed fulfilled this completely.

Christ has saved us from all our sins by receiving the baptism and dying on the Cross. Jesus took all the sins of our conscience. Sin is recorded in the tablet of conscience when people commit sin. And they feel the pain in their conscience.*
