2019 presidency: What South-East Senators said of Obi as Atiku’s running mate


The Chairman of the South-East Senate Caucus, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, on Sunday declared that the combination of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi as his running mate can pull the country out of its “present horrendous predicament.”


Abaribe said the ticket of Abubakar and Obi was the “finest choice available.”

In a statement he personally signed, the lawmaker described Obi as an embodiment of discipline with positive attributes towards good governance.
He expressed hope that PDP will emerge victorious in 2019 with the choice of Abubakar and Obi.


He said “The ticket of the duo of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Mr Obi represents the finest choice available and one that reflects the high pitch push by Nigerians for total economic and political reforms.

“The present hopeless situation of fear, despondency and hunger in the land, which is occasioned by a seemingly rudderless and clueless government requires experienced and steady hands in the saddle. Of course the Atiku/Obi ticket presents that radical choice capable of pulling the country out of her present horrendous predicament.”

He commended the former Vice President for picking Obi, who hails from the South-East.

Finest Choice indeed. South East governors prefer the man that will feed them with some share from the national cake rather than the Godly and churcheous Obi.

The story zombies don't wanna hear. See them running to thread anticipating the news might just favour them. Atikulate 2019 is a goal.

Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe is one man laden with enough common sense, who does the right thing every time regardless of whatever.

We are giving Nigeria a last chance to reform itself and return on a pat to development, growth, justice and fairness to all. If the country really wants to stand as one and foster cooperation with all parts, then now is the time to do so! You can't remove GEJ who was 100 times better than Buhari in all ramifications on the alter of poor performance only to allow Buhari to continue destroying destinies and lives, and yet vote him again!!
Nothing will ever justify such madness and that will be grave injustice to the people of Niger Delta and indeed all men of goodwill.

I keep saying it, now is the best time to turn the tide and reposition Nigeria by voting out Buhari who has proven to be disastrous.

I had lost faith in Nigeria but I have decided to give it a second chance but if Buhari is returned either by hook or by crook, then it means there is absolutely no basis for nationhood and the country would have to be dissolved and everyone allowed to chart their own course and destiny.

They know that Obi is the finest thing in Nigeria at the moment.. and Atiku has what it takes too.

But nepotism and bigotry won't let them admit it
