What else is new with politics in Nigeria? The saying goes, "If you lay down with dogs, you are bound to catch fleas." He sold his people and cavorted with the enemy for his own personal gain and now he seemed to have fallen out of favor with his master. I have no sympathy for him but I do feel sorry for the ordinary citizens of his state who were out there protesting with and on his behalf for a token. Until the masses come to realize that these politicians do not care about them and stop doing their bidding, they would always take them for granted. There's nothing wrong with taking whatever they have to offer you to go out and protest on their behalf but renege on your part. If they know that that the citizens would take their money or bags of rice and not perform, maybe they would actually start working for the people and not rely on buying a few of them.
