PDP Presidential nominee is already showing his colors and giving hints on what to expect of his administration.

Atiku is not a man that assumes a position and stick by it. He will give a word and then shortly after break it. To a man of principle, word is bond! With Atiku, his word is not in bond...it will change!

Atiku has acquired membership in every major political party since 1992 in his scramble and dribble for the Presidency. He has returned to the PDP three times in a series of defections totalling about seven. After he gave word in 2014 that his defection into APC is his last bus stop and the last defection and party....yes, your guess is right, his word on that was not a bond at all....in 2017 he left that defection and reverse-defected to PDP.

Before his victory at the PDP primary he had promised to do one term only, and even offered to put it in writing so it could be binding.

This says a lot! He knew himself that his word was not binding and people who knew Atiku had stopped relying on his words. Hence his offer of a written guarantee. Ordinarily a politician of his level should not have to commit principles to writing...it should be transparent and credible. In Atiku's case that transparency and credibility had evaporated a long time ago. Even his offer for documentation was not accepted by those who should, a very bad indicator of how people perceive his commitments, in words or writing, as very fluid and intangible.

He also promised the highest political office holder in SE, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, a slot as his VP if Ekweremadu could bring SE delegates behind his ambition for victory at the PDP primary. Ekweremadu delivered his end of the deal and delegates from SE gave Atiku victory. When it was Atiku's turn to seal his end of the deal he defected again.....as typical of Atiku, he failed to make his word binding. He abandoned Ekweremadu and gave the slot to Peter Obi.

On a recent followup after his victory at the primary, journalists had asked Atiku if he is still standing by the one-term committment. Take a guess at his response...

grin ....correct, you are very good at reading Atiku, you guessed right! Atiku danced around the topic and said the constitution allows him to do two terms. grin

Here is the most ridiculous show of failure from Atiku.

He is running on the platform of creating jobs and improving economy for citizens. He has even been promoted as more economically savvy than the President. He is reputed to have created a phantom 5million jobs. We can't find any profile for his startup in business, we can't find any figures that coincide favorably with his job creation lies, we can't even see how he has ever helped the economy for growth. Everything we have so far seen are evidence of personal enrichment and economy of his household.

Atiku have a penchant for outsourcing our resources to foreigners.

1. He used his access to power as Chief of Customs at ports to outsource operations of Nigerian Ports to an Italian. He took the operations from a Nigerian Maritime company and gave it to the Italian. In exchange he was given a 5% shareholding in the company and the Italian held remaining 95%. Atiku did not invest money in the deal, he was only rewarded equity for the privilege.

2. As VP of Nigeria he used national treasury to the tune of $40million to launder trust holdings in US from which he lobbied to obtain franschise from American University to setup a private University in Yola. The faculty is made up of foreigners, paid in US dollars.

When the university was setup, Atiku, as VP, was amongst those who promoted legislature that hurt our education policy and cannibalized our University system. Prior to that damaging intervention our public universities were magnet campuses for students from other African countries. Our leaders devalued public education in university in order their private enterprises can profit. Atiku was one of the policymakers that did this to us. So how did he grow the economy? If a graduate from a public University applies for job that a graduate of American University had also applied to who do you see getting jobs? Its not the public university graduate. So how did he help the youths in job creation?

Atiku even insulted our intelligence recently. He took his policy formulation meeting and outsourced the hosting to Dubai.

The meeting lasted over a week. The candidate talking about job creation and economy is in Dubai creating jobs and helping economy for foreigners. Why can't the meeting be held here locally so our youths can earn income? Whatever they have spent in the weeklong meeting, must run into millions for all the participants...our youths in Nigeria and business in Nigeria was robbed of a chance to earn the money at home....even if its half of that money, some families will at least have stock at home and school fees for children. Atiku choosed instead to feed families in foreign land and leave ours here hungry...but he wants to champion job creation and youth development and economic growth.

Atiku is not principled, he is not disciplined...he says one thing and defects from it....his word is not a bond and he is unfit to be our leader!

We need a leader who can walk his talk!
