I don't even know what to say on this, whether to commend him or feel awkward.

And the money to buy incubators for 10 hospitals will be spent by one politician tommorow night on Ashantis.
Unfortunately, availability isn't the issue, they've made it so expensive to use. Imagine paying over 10,000NGN per day. How many can afford such an amount.

He doesn't work in South Eastern Nigeria.
He works in Benue but trained in Unizik.

A little fact check will be ok

GistmoreNG:
A Nigerian medical doctor has been applauded by many on social media after he used an improvised incubator to save a premature baby’s life.

The doctor is now a viral sensation after he saved a child’s life by using a carton to improvise as an incubator.

Dr Chibuike Joseph Chukwudum, who works at a hospital in the southeastern part of Nigeria has been hailed a hero for his actions.

As there was no incubator available at the hospital where he works, he kept a fragile baby alive by creating an incubator with a carton. He then added hot water bottles and a source of light to keep the child as warm as possible.

InuwaHabu came there to make a stupid comment. Aboki that the only thing they know how to fabricate is shoemaker box that they use to handle to be making noise

Meanwhile private universities in Nigeria are charging one million naira per session and their graduates can't even design and fabricate a prototype of an incubator that could be massively replicated to meet the yawning deficiency of incubators in Nigeria's health sector.

I think I should commission a research in this area and bank roll the production of these equipment hoping to make some cool returns on investment.

The over $300 Million naira Abacha loot that was recently shared among the poor would have been able to build us a standard Hospital, instead they decided to share N5k which they all have finished by the next morning and you tell me the we have a Government with vision.

When you meet one passionate to save/help lives in any profession, you will know.

His love drove him to "try something, who knows"..

Sometimes what we spend heavily for are just devices based on simple mechanisms.

I think this guy is partly self-educated or has a rounder education.

Contructing an Incubator is a little bit outside medicine.

He tried but i see a lot of ignorance. That light is too much for the baby's eyes; can't he see that? And since when are fluorescent lamps used to generate heat? He should have used the incandescent lamps which are cheaper and which use Heat to produce light. Don't they teach physics in Nigeria?

The sad and painful part is that this same doctor was almost exposed to Lassa Fever last year and received zero care he would have died God forbid if it was really Lassa Fever. He also improvised to drain pus out of a patient and kept him alive.

He is an actual miracle worker
