All academic activities at the University Of Maiduguri have been on stopped after the University Senate reached a conclusion to participate in the ongoing Nationwide ASSU strike.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, University of Maiduguri Chapter, has ensured total compliance with the strike directive given by the union’s National Executive Committee.
A notice sent to us by one of our correspondent at the University Of Maiduguri goes like this.

The Management of the University is in receipt of a correspondence from the academic Union of University (ASUU), the University of Maiduguri branch informing it that at it meeting today, Wednesday 7th November,2018, the branch had ratified decision of its national body to embark on strike action.
In view of the circumstances, students are advised to remain calm as the University management monitor the unfolding developments. Students are hereby urged to remain calm and law abiding in the hope that ASUU and the Federal Government resolve the issues amicably soonest.
