Ever wonder how Tiwa Savage beat Davido to emerge the winner of Best African Act category at MTV Europe Music Awards? Oh well, am wondering too. An Instagram user @omotayo3i took to the platform to leak a video showing what made Tiwa Savage won the award. On the leaked video, the user shows how a bot was automated to vote for the singer every second. Tiwa was nominated alongside fellow Nigerian act, David Adeleke, aka Davido; South Africa’s Distruction Boyz and Shekinah; Kenya’s Nyashinski and Fally Ipupa from the DRC.
