I am driving on the motorway and decided to switch on the radio and I heard that Australians had celebrated a Save the Planet Day . What they did to preserve energy for one day was to switch off electricty in the City , there were no lights in the capital and all the Australians celebrities were involved this was to mark the event and make a statement to the world. Lol . As soon as i heard this on radio,i literally had to park the car and burst out laughing for once Africa and my beloved country , Nigeria is ahead of the game . Thank God, In Nigeria we have been preserving electricty for the past forty years whilst we can provide electricity to the likes of Ghana , for the past three weeks Nigeria has had no electricty . This has been a regular issue for the past forty years and most Nigerians are used to this way of life,can you imagine the amount of energy we are saving in Nigeria for having no light. I am sure we can set up a partnership with Al Gore . |

Dear Bamidele Are we really saving the planet with no electric power?:Think of the harm caused by the numerous generators,and other alternative power sources Nigerians have to turn to. I think rather,we should be punished for damaging the earth! |
