Why Must Employees Give A Month Notice Of Resignations But Companies Don't? by laivwire(m): 3:28pm On Nov 14, 2018
I mean, this is one among the several biases in the Nigerian HR industry. You must give the company 1 month notice of your resignation or forfeit a month salary but on the other hand, a company can terminate an employee's appointment and ask him not to come to work the next day.

This is besides asking for an employee's letter resignation from former place of work before accepting and giving a formal employment letter. Some dubious companies also change the terms of contract once they are certain the employee has resigned form previous place of employment and is now stranded and at their mercy.

Other malpractices such as failing to give a salary review for staff who have spent upwards of 10 years in a company. Employees do suffer in this country honestly.
