Why You Should Come Watch #The Confab2018 at Terra Arena

Yesterday, November 17, 2018 the social Commentary play titled 'The Confab' was staged at the Terra Arena, the posh edifice of Terra Kulture that stages live drama performances.

The play that x-rays every action and inaction by Nigerian politicians was staged for the first time with a sizeable attendance. It continues today, Sunday November 18th by 3pm and 6pm and you wouldn't want to miss it for anything.

The Confab directed by award winning playright, Nwando Alayande
explores our nature as political beings and the desire and responsibility by the legislature to effect change and better the lives of the people they represent. How they go about it is another thing altogether.

The Confab is a satire about Nigeria, fused with comedy and witty dialogue. Representatives and delegates from the various geo-political zones of the country gather at the Confab, with the sole aim of sharing the proverbial "National Cake".

With a seventeen-man cast, The Confab is a satirical social commentary that will keep you glued to your seat at the tastefully furnished hall at Terra Kukture holding for two days of two sessions. Produced by Mabykay Productions, The Confab' is a bold attempt to solve the riddle around governance and the knotty issues of our polity.

The arena was light up yesterday with characters like The egalitarian Comrade Benjamin faced with his activism tendencies,

Mallam Ishaya Tanko whi gave his constituency report about providing just a water borehole for his Northern people against the millions of naira that they receive in the house. Also
Madam Eliza Onoriode of the South South explained how she provided a
gateless and I'll equipped 2.1 billion naira worth of mega health centre, other Honourables giving their reports before their people as the 'National Cake' was about to be shared.

What happened to the national cake ? Did the The honourables act well withing their four year tenure? Did they get the positive commendation from their people which comprised of students , hairdressers, other persons from all works of life and rebels seeking a better Nigeria?

All these you will see as you come today for the highly engaging and rib cracking play which mirrors our present state of nationhood and Governance.

Speaking on what inspired, 'The Confab', Nwando Alayande who's passionate about lasting change in our governance stated on what inspired the play. "The general attitude of Nigerians towards issues that affect our collective life is deeply worrisome. I was concerned about voter apathy, and the fact that people are not being held accountable. I am concerned about our leave-everything-to- God syndrome and the general do-as-you-like-but-don't-get-caught  disposition, yet we complain about everything. I find it really funny that we like to compare ourselves with developed nations or nations that are getting things right, but we dont want to apply the same principles in action.
