I need to build a 40 ft Water Tank Tower and I intend to have 3 tanks - 1 tank for each floor of a 2-storey building.
Each tank would have a capacity of 3,000 Litres. It has been recommended that I should use the following materials

1.) 4 Lengths of H Beam - 152 by 152 (40ft)
2.) 3 Lengths of H Beam - 127 by 76 (18ft)
3.) 5 Lengths of 4 by 2 (18ft)
4.) 1 sheet of Greeting
5.) 24 Lengths of Angle Iron

I would appreciate your comments.

What's the purpose of item 3&4 ?
You will need Base Plate , Foundation Bolt and Nut too.

Yes, I know I'd need Base Plate, Foundation Bolt and Nut too. I was given those requirements as follows:

1. 16mm Rod
2. 25m Rod/Bolt
3. Base Plate
4. Supporting Plate

Most importantly, I would like to know whether or not the specs below are too high or too low considering the load of 3 - 3,000 litres tank that the tower would carry.

Regarding (3) & (4) I have been told that 4 by 2 is for "beams and distribution" and the water tanks would be resting on the "greetings".

There are very few materials for a water tank tower at the moment. I advise you to think about the resources you initially need and what you need to use them. Dig around on various sites or forums for materials for your water tank tower. One of the basic materials for a water tank tower is foundation and anchor bolts. I can recommend one site where you can buy special materials. This site helped me a lot in due time. Until now, I'm shocked by how many different materials for work there are Anchor Bolts Manufacturers in India.
