and when u see images from operation Lafiya Dole, apart from Special Forces guys; do you see Nigeria Soldiers with Improved Rifle other than old Ak47&49, do u see night vision googles,
how many do you see with body armour?
some wear headwarmer instead of standard helmet.
do you see their body packs with grenades, magazine spaces, comms, flashbangs, smokes and other things?
let's not talk about sniper units.
Is the Artillery brigade able to cover all bases and Forward Operating Bases?
Are there drones for surveillance for small teams,
r Airforce elements strategically placed to attend to emergencies within 10mins?
Is the amphibian unit recently commissioned by COAS in this fight at all, or they just siphon money thru sending them on training?

so many questions that the Nigeria Military needs to answer. the ethos of the military is non-interference politically. thats it's sanctity but can Defense headquarter come to say that is the case?

Looking at the trend of this boko menace, one can clearly see that it is more a political problem than religious.

It was a major tool used to discredit the former government. This present government came in on the premise to tackle the boko issue headlong but it is obvious something is amiss somewhere.

In my own humble opinion the present government does not have the zest to deal with this problem and I dare say even if Atiku takes over he may not be able to deal decisively with it.

The problem lies within the northern political class and it doesn't seem they are ready to stop it. The present military is suspect as there seems to be moles amongst them.

An external power with superior military is needed to exterminate the menace once and for all. The longer we delay the more the menace continues and spread all over the place.
