Jezebel's story is thousands of years old and a lot of embellishment could have been added over centuries. The specificity of the encounter with Naboth does not necessarily give any credence to the bible recording of Jezebel's evil nature as there is no secondary source to validate the historicity of Naboth and/or a contested vineyard.

Naboth and Jezebel are part of the same story. Unless you have a reason to doubt the story, you can't throw out Naboth. Embellished by who exactly? You think Old Testament stories were randomly interpolated?
