Don't Chicken Out! by Hegela(m): 11:06am On Nov 26, 2018
Some weeks ago, I was discussing with a friend on taking some very tough and scary but yet to be made decisions. It is a phase I sincerely don't enjoy as an individual. When I consider the gravity and dire consequences of such decisions on both sides, I cringe for real!

One truth life has taught me is that in order to grow, there must come a time when we are faced with very dicey decisions to be made. When we are at a crossroad seeking to know what path to tow. When we must decide if we are OK remaining on the popular path or turn to the less popular but God-backing path.

Decisions that definitely will not make sense to the average man. These decisions would not be logical, but deep down you know they are correct and true.

You would not have a very plausible and breathtaking explanation to give when asked some questions, but still you know you are right; you know this is what God would want you to do!

There might be a venture that has been ringing in your heart since the beginning of the year. A move you should make. A relationship you should try and salvage; or maybe put an end to it? A relocation plan you must execute. Old time friends that you must leave behind. Projects you should embark on.

Take a deep breath. Search yourself. What do you really want? For how long have you procrastinated on it?

Someone once said, not taking a decision is a decision in itself!

Great men are not people who allow 'what will be to be'. I've heard that song and I know you have too... "What's gonna be, gonna be, what goes up must come down...". Truth is that, unless there is a conscious effort on your part to decide what to do and what's gonna be, some things will never happen.

Beloved, do not let a lack of explanation keep you from taking a destiny changing decision! Do not let the fear of men, keep you from fulfilling the best of God. Our Warri brothers will say, " life na per head "!

Proverbs 8:1 (NIV):
"Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice?
At the highest point along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand;
beside the gate leading into the city, at the entrance, she cries aloud:"

Please don't chicken out. Pray about it. Seek counsel from men and women who understand the things of the Spirit. Research about that venture. Go for it. Make that decision. You can, and you will!

I call you blessed. God's grace will speak for you henceforth. He will grant you the boldness to do what you must in order to fulfill destiny. And I pray that at the end of your stay here on earth, you will make heaven in Jesus name. Amen!

God bless you excessively!
