Why Are Nigerians More Passionate about Biafra Than Nigeria? by kernel001: 11:41am On Nov 27, 2018
Why are Nigerians more passionate about IPOB and Biafra related issues, instead of showing same level of energy and commitment to Nigerian plight?
I've watched my fellow Nigerians closely, they invest more energy plotting against IPOB and Biafra, instead of proffering solutions to issues mitigating the growth of the nation.

It's naturally expected to see citizens of any country to show ardent concern to their country first. Book Haram is ravaging the nation, killing over a 118 soldiers, people are loosing their jobs, no power ...Yet, the citizens are busy antagonising IPOB, who are tired of the status quo and need a change. Is it that Nigerians love the pain of joblessness, no power, insurgency and economic hardship?

Does it occur to many of us that by 2040, oil will sell less than $30 because, all European nations,USA and China will stop the use fossil cars? How do we generate revenue? Does it bother you?
We pay $30 per barrel to the Company that thrills oil from deep waters.

Defending Nigerian retrogression is like defending the devil. Countries like Mauritius, Cyrus, Brazil and Singapore got there independent around same time. And if you say population is the problem, what do you make of China,Brazil and USA?

I'm ashamed of you. Proffer solution(s) to the difficulties facing Nigeria, stop investing energy on others problem.

You made great points. The fact is Yoruba don't want to see Biafra come out of envy and fear. Envy that Biafra will be successful which will expose them. Fear that if Biafra leaves, Hausa-Fulani will finish them off. Remember Hausa-Fulani have no real access to seaport. Only Lagos is their closest seaport by proximity and religion affiliation. As one Nairaland said...the day that Nigeria ceases to exist, that day that Hausa-Fulani will stage war against Yoruba to get access to seaport.

First, let me start by telling you facts that makes life in Nigeria unbearable for an average Nigerian.
1. Nigeria is the poorest country on earth.
2. Insurgency (Home of Third and fourth most deadliest terrorist organization in the world).
3. High-level of unemployment
4. Highest IDP in Africa, third in the world.
5. Higher illiteracy level
6. Higher mortality rate
7. Unstable economy
8. Poor international image.
9. No power 4000 mega watts for 200 million people. South Africa 50,000 mega watts for 40 million people.

South Africa, Swaziland, Cape Varde, and Botswana they are all African nations, they don't sell crude oil, but I challenge you to show me any positive indices Nigeria is seemingly better than them.

Cape Varde is in the middle of the Ocean, with 700,000 population, with no neighbors, no natural resources, are better than Nigeria, why?

The curse ........as long as the cursed side rule and injustice against a side reigns....even the long years of leadership by the cursed side has not improved them as they seek to sideline and pull down others.....but lets act like its not reality abi.

Add poor minimum wage too. Ordinary South Africa will be increasing their minimum wage to 126 K , Nigeria is still suffering and wailing to increase theirs to 30k.

God forbid bad thing!

Well, Nigerians believe that changing one set of incompetent rouges with another every four years will somehow bring solution to them someday.

They are getting their PVC to vote out somebody, and then renew their slavery bond for the next four years - very intelligent people!

The beginning and end of nigeria's problems is devil worship in the form of islam. Light and darkness have nothing in common. Muslim worship satan ignorantly and nigeria is the home of high grade christians the world over. Never expect anything good to come out if nigeria. Islam has brought curse upon nigeria. Change will never come unless islam is removed out of being a majority in nigeria.

It's wrong to have passion for a person you don't love, rather, give your love and passion to those that love you, your home.
You don't invest your energy on the wrong things.

People deserve a pride of place but not if they want to be placed on the right hand side of the Creator because, from the look of things, only His position will satisfy them.
