PH BUILDING COLLAPSE THE INEPTITUDE OF GOVERNMENT AND NIGERIAN MEDIA

Recall on Friday 23rd Nov. 2018 at about 5pm tragedy struck in GRA axis of port Harcourt as a 7 storey building and 2 storey basement under construction collapsed.

Eye witnessed report at the scene suggested that over two hundred construction workers and other vendors were receiving payments for services rendered when the unfortunate incidence occurred.

Recall similar incidence occurred in Thailand some months ago, the kind of Media hype and international awareness we saw and regular updates by CNN, Aljazeera and even channels TV were second to none.
Recently, We witnessed the massive coverage of foreign and local media on the US wildfire that destroyed lives and property.

Today a similar scenario is playing out in port Harcourt Nigeria with over Hundred I repeat over hundred law abiding citizens of this country trapped in this building for Four days now.
It will Amaze the world to know that at the moment of writing this report 27th Nov 2018 at 7:00am No media house both local and international or Government official was on Ground to mobilize the few rescue team on Ground to work.
It is even more shameful, worrisome and disheartening that media houses in port Harcourt prefer to discus in round tables the cause of the collapse rather than How to Rescue those trapped in the building.

I want to join the voices of the people trapped in this building to call on Federal, State and Local Government, All construction giants in the country, All NGOs and Media houses to come to the rescue of those trapped in the building.

I send barrels of appreciation to The following groups and Persons who are working tirelessly to see that the last man amongst the hundred is rescued;

Rotary Club port Harcourt
Red cross society
Comr. Perri Perri Oduye Precious
Comr. Ugochukwu Tony Oputa
Engr. Bright N Iwuoha
And Many others

Comr. Uzono Romokere
Reporting live from the scene

The white media says it is expected of bad news to come from some sections of the world. The construction collapse is one example. Boko Haram would have turned a silent issue also if the west didn’t see how to influence Nigerian elections using the situation.

It is very unfortunate. The contractor could have bribed the quality assurance personel for them to overlook the seeming crack in the project. It is well.
