Covenant University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) are partnering on a pathway to MicroMasters Degrees in some programmes of both world-class institutions.
While explaining the workings of the programme, the Director, International Office and Linkages at Covenant, Dr. Ada Peter, noted that students of both institutions would have the opportunity to earn a Master Degree in either of the institutions after obtaining a certain level of credits in programmes which include Business Administration, Economics, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science.

Dr. Peter explained further that Covenant would offer the credential holders of the MITx MicroMasters in Supply Chain Management (SCM) the possibility of earning 6 credits toward the completion of the Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

In Economics, Covenant, she said, would offer the credential holders of MITx MicroMasters in DATA, Economics and Development Policy (DEDP) the possibility of earning 14 credits of the total graduate credits toward the completion of Master’s Degree in Economics.

Holders of MITx MicroMasters in Principles of Manufacturing would have the possibility of earning 18 credits toward the completion of the Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, while holders of MITx MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science (SDS) the possibility of earning 3 credits toward the completion of Master’s Degree in Computer Science.

There is a difference between student and guest. Personally, i don't have a problem with Muslim students wearing Hijab in a Christian university so far the permission was granted by the University not because of any grandstanding by MURIC and the likes. Christian universities in the West open themselves to diversity.

This is important because Christian universities are powerful tools for gospel outreach - some people only ever have the chance to encounter the Christian way on Christian campuses.

CU managed to make the campus uncomfortable for non christians thereby loosing the opportunity to evangelize. And what's the point i have met a number of Atheist in the school.

The missionaries of Old had Strategy the Churches of today lack it badly. Only the gospel of Christ can change Nigeria for better. Until we turn Boko fighters to jesus, then feed, educate and clothe the Almajiri and turn back south to reset all the malfunctioning Christians we have done nothing.

Can we the Church build world class IDPs in safe places in the North East, welcome the Muslim and Christian women - feed, clothe and educate their children and watch as loyalties shift from mohammed to Jesus. And more importantly they will shift their children's loyalty.

The Missionaries didn't succeed in Christian izing half the nation because they had better preachers than we have, but they succeeded because they treated ppl better than the indigenous gods. People weighed it, "A God that provides Education, Healthcare and claims to love me to a god that wants human blood and collects my tubers of Yam every season". Sure enough the illiterate idol worshippers abandoned their burdensome gods and followed Jesus.

The Church must begin to think and act strategically.

No, those who suggested such earlier must be devils and the Church just stick solely or mainly to building big Churches in PH, ABJ and Lagos and pat itself on the back while such needs, solutions and people as you enumerated are pushed to government.

Only those who love the church are credible to criticize it. Not those who use condemnation to lure people away from Christ.
Every statement is as important as the inspiration that birthed it. If you catch the devil saying the truth, ignore it. When the devil said the truth at the garden of eden it was to ultimately destroy the human race. Eve thought she was having an honest conversation but she couldn't discern motivation and that caused tremendous harm. Jesus on his own temptation looked beyond the credible things the devil said and attacked his motivations.

Before i engage any body on matters relating to the church i discern their motivations. I only criticise the church where God and church lovers are in hope that it would spur us to become better.

Your sense or spirit of discernment is very wrong then and needs urgent reset maybe with a spiritual e-slap .
No one is during people away from Christ but luring people away from those who willfully refuse to toe the path of Christ and seek to shame those who suggest they do even as they claim to be one toe in heaven already.

Here you are saying the same thing you were attacking people for saying and claiming Einstein on top. Just agree you've learnt one or two hitherto beyond you and stop shaming yourself with a failed attempt to deceive yourself. And the devil never said the truth btw. Hope your black Church leaders learn thesame too and improve whether they curse or misguidedly discern us as demons for saying simple facts you are repeating. Later they will say the school is not for profit but to instill Christian values and groom Christians. Are they deceiving themselves or the sheeple? Well we are supposed to go deaf, dumb and blind to all that I forgot.

CU has rules for its students and it ends there. The rules doesn't extend to visitors or guests of the university. Even if they are from alqalam university katsina they would be allowed to express their religious mode of dressing.
