Mr. Abolarinwa Olaoye, an Ekiti state civil servant, gave up on the struggles of this world, by hanging himself on Tuesday within the state Secretariat. It was identified that the deceased, Olaoye, was until his death a night guard at the Ekiti State Scholarship Board, he is survived by a wife and five sons.

The body of the deceased, was found hanging on the railing of a building at the Ministry of Education where he had reported for duty.

Olaoye’s motorcycle was parked within the building where he had taken his own life. Many sympathizers described the deceased as a jovial man.

Elizabeth Babalola, sisiter- in law of the deceased revealed Olaoye, a native of Igogo Ekiti, Moba Local Government area of the state, said her late brother’s in-law came to her around 4.30pm on Tuesday, narrating his horrible situation caused by lack of money to her.

“He came to me around 4.30pm on Tuesday and started lamenting that his house rent was due and that he could not pay due to irregular salary payment.

“He said he was also indebted to the government through housing and
car loans he obtained.
