I have been a member of this awesome forum for years now even though this account is only a few weeks old. You are free to conclude the reason for this, although am sure we all know the most common reason.

Over the years i have been burdened with this question, thus the reason why i am finally bringing it up so that we can hear comments, learn, and if possible create a new trend which will optimally enhance our user experience of this forum.

As the saying goes, "if the worth of a thing isnt known; ABUSE is inevitable"( i hope i quoted it right )

We all use the LIKE button so well on nairaland, but am so sure most of us never get to use the SHARE button.

So, the question is this: What in ur own opinion does the share button stands for?

I personally termed it the "DISLIKE" button ( at least that is what i use it for) so if u see a share on ur post or comment by me, it simply means i strongly dislike ur comment.

But thats just me. What about u? What have u been using the share button for?

Serious comments are welcome.....

It should be replaced with dislike button. Seun haven't updated Nairaland software for more than 6yrs, it's appalling.

Dont u think a Legibly spelt DISLIKE button wud be aggresive?

We use it for Atiku Vs Buhari poll ...lets test it here so please Hit like for Atiku or Share for Buhari

Do u know how difficult maintaining a peaceful atmosphere on this forum can be? I must commend the mods on various sections.

I for one feel having a DISLIKE button can create an easy atmosphere for tantrums and wars on the forum. That is what i meant by AGRESSIVE.

It wouldn't make any difference to confrontation on Nairaland. For example Facebook, YouTube and the biggest forum in the world reddit all have the vote down or dislike button.

Ya it works. If people are following you and you click a share button, they would see your comments , and you will also see the comments of those you are following if they click the same share button..

We can also use Like and Dislike. I have always been looking for a way to dislike Buhari.
