They are lands which the govt carve out as already occupied by indigenes and alloted to same, and are subsequently sold by them usually under their chief's or clan head's authority and differs from the govt issues lands which come with govt issued c of o.

Thanks. The carving out is same everywhere. Only that a times local people then start selling the land that govt did not give them. By going beyond the boundary govt excised and gave them. After getting used to sweet land money but have run out of legitimate land.

If not careful you only find out when govt moves in, maybe many years later, to reclaim the land. Like El Rufai did as FCT minister.

The basic info you later supplied is good. One does not have to make phone calls first to know these things. Provide them willingly.

It's very true that some locals OK overstep their bound and start selling govt land but access to relevant survey maps and trustworthy info will guide one easily as to where and where not to buy. I work with credible people where I ply my land agency. Thanks for the heads up anyway.
