Jacquelyn Smith, aged 52 from Baltimore was fatally stabbed on Saturday after rolling down her car window to give aid a seemingly distressed mother and her baby.

Baltimore Police Department stated that Jacquelyn was in the front passenger seat of a car with her family when they stopped to help the woman. An eyewitness at the scene reports that the woman who appeared to be in her twenties was holding a cardboard sign that read “Please Help me feed my Baby” while cradling what was most likely assumed to be a baby.

Passengers in the car were surprised at the appearance of a black male as he approached the car to thank the family for their kind gesture.

Things then took a dramatic turn when the man reached in to grab Jacquelyn’s purse and a struggle ensued. After a brief moment of struggling the man produced a knife and stabbed Jacquelyn in her torso area.
