Russia has every right to retaliate and Putin calling their Bluff is the right thing to do-the classic Russian spirit; "we don't want war but we don't fear it either."

What a babel. It will interest you to know that the standard of living in Russia is very much better and has been going up, compare to some other European countries. Saying that most Russians are poor is sheer knack of spouting the same misinformation carried by MSN outlets. In fact, Bloomberg and the World Bank recently rated the Russian economy as one of the best in the world, and the third best strong emerging economics, even beating China by almost a point. So, why people are poor in Russia (same way millions are poor in the US), isn't enough to discredit the country.

You are even more confused when you stated that the only few rich people in the country are those closed to President Putin. This shows you don't even know how Russia operates. This is a country that is actively jailing and chasing people for corruption, including billionaires hence most of them are on the run seeking refuge in UK and in the US where they are free to practice their corruption. Tell me, how many rich men have you seen in jail in the US?

Contrary to your warp belief, the Middle class in Russia is strong. They will look poor in your eyes because you are measuring their income level with the amount of what they make when converted to Dollars. But when you understand the principle of PPP as against GDP, then you will know why you are so wrong by saying most of them are very poor. It will even interest you to know also that only 5 people in the US are richer than the entire American population, and millions more are living on food stamps. But does that means that the majority of the American population are "very poor"?

Going by the way you sounded, if people were that poor in Russia, I wonder why Putin enjoys more than 80 percent of popularity rating among the same people you believed ate to poor. That's one rating no other government in Europe enjoys.



Japan you said? What is the geopolitical proximity between Japan and Russia that warrants the comparison? I guess you can't say. Tell me: why would Japan be talking about war when there is no hostile military bloc encroaching closer to its borders and circling it with military bases? Why would Japan be talking about war when there are no missile systems stationed closed to its borders by one of its avowed rival? Why on earth should Abe be talking about war when the CIA is not using American sponsored NGOs to foment unrest and color coded revolution that overthrow and seek to overthrow the legitimate government of a country sharing borders with Japan, or against Japan itself?
