Heavy Tension As Gov Ikpeazu Allegedly Scammed Buhari In Asorock; Minister Finge by Wisdomkosi(m): 9:57pm On Dec 10, 2018
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has alleged that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, at the weekend, scammed President Muhammadu Buhari with a fake offer based on non exiting projects.

APC also accused the Minister of Trade and Investments, Okechukwu Enelamah of complicity in the alleged scam.

The party stated that President Buhari was misled into endorsing a deal between the federal and Abia State governments on the proposed establishment of ‘Enyimba Economic City’.
Ikpeazu, who led a delegation to the Presidential Villa, told President Buhari that the state had the capacity and existing projects to warrant a pact with the Federal Government and the state on the building of an economic city.

But, the state secretary of APC in Abia, Perfect Okorie, described Ikpeazu’s claims and alleged misrepresentation of realities as scam, unfortunate and an act of desperation. His words: “There are no projects in Abia State apart from abandoned structures in various parts of the state, particularly Aba, including three abandoned flyover bridges and other social infrastructures which Ikpeazu knows he cannot complete before he quits office on May 29, 2019.

“Why would Ikpeazu be talking of an ‘economic city’ when salaries and pensions are being owed for upwards of more than 10 months now? Let me assure President Buhari, with all sense of responsibility, that this latest cunning move by Governor Ikpeazu is clearly an electioneering gimmick by a desperado using the office of the Minister of Trade and Investments, Okechukwu Enelamah, who comes from Abia State.

“Just like other abandoned projects that litter the state, this definitive agreement is dead on arrival.
“Ikpeazu can deceive President Buhari, not Abians who know the truth and cannot be hoodwinked. Abia State government is reputed for propaganda and photoshop hallmarks of development displayed on billboards and broadcast regularly on television at great costs to the majority of impoverished Abians.”

The Abia APC secretary invited President Buhari to visit the state and see things for himself or send an independent and highpowered team on a factfinding mission. According to Okorie, “there is simply no governance in Abia State. Social infrastructures have collapsed in the entire state. Ikpeazu should not be talking of an ‘economic city’ when salaries and pensions are being owed for more than 10 months running. Governor Ikpeazu should stop pulling the wool over eyes of unsuspecting Nigerians.

“Ikpeazu cannot be trusted and, as such, the Federal Government should not enter into any agreement with the nonperforming and outgoing governor. It should be recalled that prior to the Supreme Court judgement on his governorship election, he had pledged to join the APC if the apex court gives him victory. The rest is now history. It shows clearly that Ikpeazu lacks character and integrity and cannot keep to his word. “It must be emphasized that Ikpeazu is running a government of propaganda, falsehood and stomach infrastructural management of his co-travellers who are on monthly stipends and parade themselves shamelessly as “Abia leaders and stakeholders.”

How is IPP a scam?

The FG has 20% equity and the main investors and land owners have agreed to develop and expand the city.

This is just a real estate deal with Industrial City being designated Free trade zone to attract awof. No tax, 100% Foreign or Local Ownership ( or partnership) depending on the investors.
