If Igbos had the kind of population the Northerns have I wonder what will happen in Nigeria. Have not heard an oba or emir of Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia or Ebonyi state.. Why other tribes won't hate you guys when you want to dominate them in thier own country. Instead of the rest ipob to condem this nonsense they'll rather brag saying Igbo Amaka... You can't dominate everybody. If South Africa denial you guys visa will complain and insult the country you call zoo. Look at what a sane tribe is doing in broad day light in another man's country... I prefer an hausa and yoruba tribe to igbo any time any day.. But I still have some good igbo people as friend but majority of them have issues with Pride.

frow what you wrote you do not understand anything. Sacrifices are done anytime and it is not fetish. All information you got are from movies. African traditional religion is earth centered and believes in taking care of the earth. We do not believe in satan and nothing is fetish in giving honour to ur ancestors and guarding angel. We are not a religion but a spirituality.

Nigerians and their lack of religious tolerance. But will be the first people to call out muslims saying they don't allow others practice their religion.Christains will carry mega phone and will be preaching.Nobody will say anything. But practice your own tradition they will see you as evil.Asians stiil uphold their traditions and beliefs irrespective of how advanced they are.Bunch of self hating white boot licking coons that believe in the white man's but is ready to sell his tradition. No wonder our native languages are going extinct.Fuckers

Forget about what is written there, we know they are Yorubas

Did you miss the part where it said the ritual was done in preparation for the coronation of Ohaneze Ndigbo of SA? Or perhaps you did, but decided to be a troll.

I pity South Africa's economy in the grip of these drug dealers and counterfeiters. Someone is the chairman of criminal activity in your country but they throw you a decoy by calling him their king.

I'm not against anyone's believe.. But the main question. Will the South African Authorities like it If they don't this can cause another xenophobia attack and risky for Nigerians... That's my main point. Indians practice thier buhahism in thier factories in Nigeria not outside if you've worked with them you'll know...we must admit it Nigerians not discipline themselves outside. If you're a foreigner your right is always restricted even if you marry from there and become a citizen. If a crime is Commited by a Nigerian and a South African who do you think the South African Authorities will exonorate first??

They need to be called to order. South Africa are trying to take things low for them in order to avoid public outcry on hatred on fellow African men. They should not take their gentle now to ride them. They know how to deal with them.

An outrage has been sparked after some Nigerians were seen performing some traditional rituals in broad daylight in South Africa.

According to reports, the Nigerians were seen in the North of Johannesburg performing the rites where a live chicken was killed and its blood spilled on a traditional item before it was thrown away.

It was alleged that the traditional rituals were performed in the street ahead of coronation by Ohaneze Ndigbo.

This happened right in public in the presence of other residents and passersby.

Nigerians are calling on the federal government and Ohaneze Ndigbo to find a way to stop the public embarrassment and call the citizens to order on how to practice their tradition without drawing attention to themselves.

All the foreign construction workers in Nigeria you barely see them Constituting nuisance on the Street. You only see them on the site and back to the hotel. But our own different.. Those Nigerians over there went to look for greener pasture not doing the opposite. Let's condem the act it's bad.

But the same oyibos came here with their useless slave manual called Bible and were constituting nuisance everywhere in the name of missionaries..

In South Africa we have laws and regulations, you can't just go around performing rituals anywhere without asking for permission from the relevant bodies . This is disrespecting our laws, society rules and peace . No one says Nigerians can't practice their traditions in south Africa, but they can't do it anywhere they like . This is not Nigeria, not even our people do such things anyhow.

As usual, nigerians love to defend the white man god then shame our own saying it is evil

South African sangomas also do similar rituals.

Nothing new in this, go and sleep,
african traditional religion is one

Traditional practices are done in the privacy of one's home/backyard. Not on a public road. Do they not have homes?

Imagine blood splattered all over the streets angry Our cities are governed by by-laws & this is totally unacceptable. That's y theres so much degradation in suburbs they occupy like Hillbrow and Yeoville.

Pls respect other pples things.

Igbos need to be very careful with the way they attract negative attention to themselves and the country at large. An average South African will see this and mention ''Nigerians'' not ''Igbo'', it's only among ourselves that we know the different tribes, a foreigner will just generalize.

We all need to understand that whatsoever we do with the image of the country will still have its effects on us. These are the same set of people that will shout injustice and xenophobia when the locals start chasing them. undecided

South Africans actually know the difference between Yoruba and Igbo. They detest Igbos because of the drug selling and fraud and love the Yorubas because the Yorubas are usually there for education or to do white collar jobs.
P.S This is not a tribal post. This is the truth as I have told by the numerous South Africans I have met home and abroad.

What's the difference between this and killing a ram publicly during Muslim sallah festival? Africans wake up from your slumber. You are all mostly in a state of trance trying to be what you are not. That's why you seem not to know your left from your right.

But African traditional religious practices is still recognized by the government of Nigeria and South Africa.

South Africans also have African traditional worshippers and they perform sacrifices too.

No be everybody be Christian or Muslim.

Stop lying , South Africans don't go around slaughtering chickens and cows in street corners , we have laws against such acts. We perform our traditional rights at home at home, this is complete disrespect of our collective space .
