You need to take legal actions and make them pay. These companies get away with all kinds of rubbish because of our "leave matter to God" mentality. As long as the product delivered does not match the product description, it's their responsibility to make sure the customer is satisfied. I hope they pay for this

There are two types of made in China.

We have European/Western Outsourcing to China and half done Chinese formulated products. Those product never undergone rigorous quality control test because the brand names have no reputation to keep and mostly, many in-house Chinese products are stolen technology that lacks expanded / upgradeable research development.
Can you give us a brand name of a Western made product (let's use the soundbars you sell as an example) that's in an average Nigerian home that's outsourced to China? I ask because as an average Nigerian, I just looked at my electronics; Tv - Hisense, Soundbar - LG, Phone - Samsung, Fridge - Samsung, I'm sure if I look at my DSTV decorder properly, I'll see the words 'made in China' somewhere. All these are Asian companies with production plants in China and these are the brands that are popular in Nigeria.

Who uses these Western household brands you're takling about and what are their names?

"Made in" means "location of production".

Now trademark owners means the proprietor of the intellectual property.

LG is South Korea
Apple is USA
Search for others yourself

Is South Korea a Western/European Country?
Do you sell Apple TVs and Apple soundbars (if there's any such thing) to the average Nigerian?
You're a marketer, I get it but the phrase 'this one na China' you guys use on less educated customers so they can buy whatever you recommend to them cannot fo.ol everyone.
LG, SONY and Samsung are the most reputable home appliance manufacturers in this part of the world at least, that's true.
But another truth you may not know or you know but you don't want to reveal for marketing reasons is, a lot of the products from the above mentioned companies that come into Nigeria are actually MADE IN CHINA where Labor is cheap. Samsung phones are made in China, Cardillacs are made in China so TF are you saying?
My point is, it's not where a product is made that determines it's quality, it's WHO (the company) makes the product. In the same China that you have production lines spewing Tecno phones, you also have production lines making iPhones. Ever head of Hon Hai? Google it.
Don't bring the 'this one na china' line to a forum like this. We aren't all dumb. You can use that line with your offline customers.

What are you saying madam, conveniently diverting the discussion to irrelevant nomenclature just to further confuse your ignorant customers.

All those products are "China" products based on your China classification, LG, Samsung, huawei, are all chinko products just same as polystar, hisense and so on

Agreed or not?

The point, I think he's trying to make is aren't virtually all the electronics we buy today FROM China? Isn't that where a lot of companies today go to produce/assemble their products before export? The soundbars and Smart TVs you sell, aren't they MADE IN CHINA?

grin grin grin laugh won kill me. But I must say polyster refrigerators are good @ least have compared it to other brands including my cousin's thermocool and it rock's ( then oh. Dunno about now) The issue in Nigeria is people import their first product and due to high patronage and their greed they over time reduce quality.
