I read many posts on the Romance Board where guys are dissing Nigerian girls and women, but most of them have only used Nigerian girls and women from the South, West, East and Middle Belt to judge Nigerian girls and women without any experience with the Hausa Fulani girls and women. In fact, most of these guys have not been to most of the states in Nigeria. Many of them jump to conclusions from mere assumptions. Hausa Fulani girls and women by the values and virtues of their very strict religion and tradition are not as exposed or liberal as most of the Nigerian girls and women from the southern, western, eastern and middle-belt states whose ways of life are often influenced by American and Western orientation (including Hypocritical Western Religion). You see girls and women from the south aping American and Western European girls and women in relationships. Their mannerisms in relationships are often copied from their exposure to American and Western European life styles. But majority of the Hausa Fulani girls and women are following their strict Islamic orientation and as you know they do not permit promiscuity and vanity. I have met with the elite ones ,they are weternized as well,but i think they have shortage of men of their class hence they beome 2nd or 3 or 4th wife to a governor or northern senator ,or maybe they dont want to go hungry in a mans house. |

Most of them are that way because they are scared they can be murdered, stoned, scalded or even disowned if they as much as put a foot wrong. I had some hausa neighbours back then, the elder sister got married as a teenager to a much older man, she had no choice she had to comply although she was unhappy about it. She couldnt speak up for fear of what could happen to her. The younger sister got married in a hurry and 5 months later gave birth to a baby girl, all the while she was pretending to be holier than everyone else, she was busy getting some and eventually got pregnant. Its the fear of being stigmatized that makes them the way they are |

On a serious note ,they are content with life ,when a woman is content she is some how not jumping from one man to the other since we live in the same environment with other tribes who are never content and want more material items . Yourbas,igbo are unfaithful most of the times,they can easily be lured with material wealth and not word of the mouth. |

olas2u: First of all, being faithful in a marriage has absolutely nothing to do with where you're from, its all about you as an individual and the things that matter to you the most. FYI most hausa women i know are not in anyway content or even half happy with the men they have ended up with, but they shut up and put up because that's what is expected of them!! |

I know tribe as got nothing to do about it,but the culture help to influence ideas and women,even though in the developed country women do what they like ,Japense women have all the good things and they are still able to hold them seleves,same as in India.You cannot use your money to lure and indian woman ,because culture and way of life as shaped how they behave.But in Nigeria,the economic situations shape life of women and ideas. In today,s Nigeria a 40 year old canot look into eyes of a woman and say i want to marry you because he cannot afford the type of women he desires ,hence they chase underage. |

Na wah for the references on this thread. Hausa/Fulani ladies are better wifey materials compared to the yorubas' and igbos'; in terms of beauty, loyalty, been faithful,,, name it. They possess the natural beauty of naija. They are not fatty as those of the south, neither do they indulge in the bleaching spree as the westerners.
