You can take the phone to an engineer for repair or dry it in the sun for a few days, most of the time, water damaged phones aren't actually damaged, the water just shorted the motherboard and totally drain the battery, but you won't know since the battery is not removable..

So, here are some things you can do;

* if you've dried the phone in the sun for som time and you are quite sure that it must be totally dry, plug the phone to a computer with a USB cable, if the computer detects it(you will know by a beep tone whenever you plug it in, or go to "device manager>>devices and printers" to see if anything changes whenever you plug in the phone), if the computer detects it, you can leave it plugged for some time or remove it and go find a fast charger, and leave it plugged for some time(at least 2 hrs), it will surely come up.
NB: sometimes it may take some time before the computer detects it, so don't give up quick.. If it doesn't happen within 2 hours, then you can quit. You can also try pressing the volume - or + or both, before plugging the phone to a computer, before it's detected(in this case the battery is most likely damaged).

* If you don't have access to a computer, you can also try leaving it plugged for some time with a good charger, hopefully it will come up, the essence of the computer method is to know if there's still hope for the phone..

* I case any of the above isn't working, then you can go give the phone to an engineer or;
"BOLD IT!", Unscrew the phone by yourself(it should be quite simple), open it, unplug any flex you see on the phone, remove the motherboard and then wash it gently with a very soft brush using petrol or toothpaste, rinse and leave it in the sun to dry(that's called servicing, it's what most engineers will do for you)..

And lastly, if the documents you needed on the card are photos, yiu can remove it format it in another phone or computer, then use EasyUS(windows) or Disk Digger(android) to recover deleted files on it, you will get most of them..
