The Honor Play 8A runs Android 9 Pie on top of EMUI 9 and sports a 6.09-inch HD+ IPS LCD waterdrop shaped notch dispay, 1560x720 pixels screen resolution, 81% screen to body ratio. It is powered MediaTek by Helio P35 chipest with 8-cores of processor clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB on internal storage expandable via microSD card upto 512GB.

The smartphone bears a 13-megapixel rear camera equipped with a dual LED flash, on the front there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture which also support Face Unlock.

It packs a 3020mAh battery which support fast charging, the Honor Play 8A has a plastic back and metal frame. There is no fingerprint sensor on the Honor Play 8A but a Face Unlock option.

The Honor Play 8A is available for pre-sale for CNY 799 (USD 119), pre-sale will end on January 8, 2019 and the smartphone will be available in Black, Blue, Gold and Red colour option.
