President Goodluck Jonathan has removed the minister of state for Finance; Remi Babalola. Sources said his removal could not be unconnected with his statement at a time that NNPC is insolvent.

If his removal is connected to that NNPC-insolvency statement, then Jonathan doesnt want people who would tell the truth and say things the way they are afterall the NNPC Managing Director said that much in his letter to the Senate that the NNPC is insolvent.

But the truth is that NNPC is really broke becase as at today it still owes marketers around N500B.

This is what I have said all along. Can we not see the true character of Jonathan his actions and his association , to include those he is taking instructions from (OBJ, Dajuma, etc) ? Was OBJ not found guilty of the misuse of PTDF (petroleum trust development fund) merely because our former President wanted to secure the hard currency to buy third term?

Jonathan is a "do-or-die" politician , no different to OBJ , and I will amuse myself watching how long it will take , despite very obvious signals, for most Nigerians to realise this.

Rumour's been going round for sometime that both Babalola and Aganga would be removed. . . .

The guy is not removed, he has been redeployed as Special Duties Minister - this is a job without portfolio. They do dirty jobs as well as also run errands for their master.
