Top 10 List Of Most Played Games Around The World 2018 by gasufri: 1:34pm On Jan 12, 2019
This is it. 2018 might have come and gone but definitely without memories. Game lovers had a great awe-inspiring games to play to escape either escape boredom OR just for fun with friends. If you are a gamer, which game was your favorite?

So many to choose from this time around. Blockbuster games are becoming more conscious of the space they occupy in pop culture, delivering an emotionally wider range of stories and experiences. This year, we've seen that even the biggest games can bring out tears as effectively as they elicit joy.

In NO particular order, We have compiled a list of most played games around the world for the year ended - 2018.

Marvel's Spider-Man

Don't get crestfallen if you did not or you still don't like the Marvel's Spider-Man but YES, it made it to the list. Hyperbole be damned, Marvel's Spider-Man is very easily one of the best Spider-Man stories ever told. Insomniac Games wisely set up a whole new fictional timeline (presumably with Marvel's endorsement, if not insistence).

Games based on superheroes have a mixed history. There are several great Batman games, but Superman has an awful record and all previous efforts to do Spider-Man in a game didn't inspire. Enter Insomniac Games, who have finally broken that trend with a captivating open-world adventure.

It finds a perfect balance in giving you a satisfying challenge, while also making you feel like a powerful hero, swinging from building to building with ease. It's exclusive to the PS4 and an exceedingly good reason to pick one up.

God of War

There’s been a lot of changes made to the new God of War when compared to the original PlayStation 2 and 3 games. More inspiration has been taken from RPGs, with the addition of side quests a branching world map and more upgrades for weapons and armour, Kratos’ son joins the fight with his own abilities, and the Greek setting’s been swapped for a chillier Norse one.

"The new God of War from Santa Monica Studio is a masterful reinvention of a now-classic PlayStation series and, primarily, its lead character. Kratos went from being a killing machine driven solely by rage in previous games, to, well, a killing machine driven by paternal instinct and a promise made to his deceased wife.

But even without being compared to his former self, Kratos' newfound sensitivity and self-awareness are as effective as they are because of how well the character and his journey are executed in general. For fans, it's great to witness the character's pivot from yesteryear's action darling to today's loving father figure in disguise, but Kratos and the game he leads are simply excellent on their own terms."

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

There's no single-player campaign in the latest Call of Duty outing, but the renewed focus on multiplayer has delivered what many believe is the best battle royale around. The combination of Call of Duty's tight, responsive controls and fast-paced action creates quick, intense and addictive games and while there's just a single map for its battle royale mode, called Blackout, at present, more are bound to follow.

Hitman 2

"Like its predecessor, Hitman 2 can be many things to many people. Hitman 2 isn't a massive leap forward; really, it's more of the same. But when "the same" is a near-perfect stealth-focused sandbox game built around creatively murdering bad people, it's hard to complain. The variety of possible approaches allows for wildly different experiences. You might opt for a more head-on plan that involves killing anyone who gets in your way.

Maybe you use the briefcase for its intended purpose and sneak in a sniper rifle to take your target out from a distance. Or perhaps you opt for something far more elaborate: Discover the use of a high-powered fan in a movie shoot, recover and deliver a missing script to the crew so filming can continue, and then rig the fan to blow your target off the roof once the cameras are rolling. (It made for great footage, the film's producer concedes in a private phone call afterward.)
