Got notification from Apple - Falz just dropped his Album titled “Moral Instruction”. One quick tap and I was in listening mood. Overall, I can say this is the reincarnation of Fela lyrically in Hip-hop theme. The message in each song is clear, catchy, succinct and interwoven with catching beats. Falz decided to demonstrate his versatility with this album, dissecting every areas of Nigeria’s societal defects. It’s quite refreshing listening to issues you are familiar with. The only drawback observed was the excess sampling of Fela’s voice. However, in my opinion this is what Afro-rap should be and gradually Falz appears to be ascending the throne of being the Best Rapper in Nigeria, if ever that title is available.
