World's largest planetarium completed in Shanghai All the civil construction has been completed at Shanghai Planetarium, the world's largest planetarium. It is scheduled to officially open to the public in 2020. Located on Lingang Avenue in the Pudong New Area, it covers more than 38,000 square meters and includes a main building and ancillary constructions such as an observation base for young people, as well as a solar tower and observatory.
