The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has been described as a party of monumental failure in Ojo Federal Constituency and the Nation at large.

Speaking to the people of peace land estate, Cele-nica situated in Iba Local council development area (LCDA) area of Lagos State, Hon. Victor Akande, a former member of the PDP and a sitting Lagos State House of Assembly member, seeking reelection under the All Progressives Congress (APC), took a swipe on the PDP in Ojo Federal Constituency over its lack of good intentions and development for the constituency.

Explaining why he left his former party, Akande said: "On several occasions, I spoke with Obasa (Member of the House of Representatives, Ojo) on the projects to be done to make life bearable for our people, he kept saying that there is no money in the National Assembly.

"Even when I bought bags of rice and chickens for the people during the Christmas season, Obasa did nothing and yet, the party are sharing what I bought in his name.

"I sank boreholes across the constituency and sent over a hundred youths to computer school. I bought two buses to convene our children to school, instead of getting some accolades by the PDP, they rather refer to me as a stranger and the leadership of the party connived against me", he commented.

Hon. Victor Akande, further described PDP has a party of retrogressives, he cited that as a reason he joined the progressives, the All Progressives Congress.

While presenting the APC candidate for Ojo Federal Constituency, Omooba Yinka Durosinmi, before the people, Akande said: "Hon. Durosinmi is tested and trusted, as the local government chairman of Ojo, he performed tremendously well, if you elect him as the house of representatives member, he will deliver the dividends of democracy", he added.

The CDA chairman of Peace land estate in his speech, he called for attention and infrastructures for the community, he decried the poor state of the road and demanded for its grading.

Upon request, Hon. Victor Akande declared that the grading of the peace land estate road for the convenience of the people will be done with immediate effect.

Earlier in his speech, the chairman of APC campaign committee for Ojo Federal constituency, Hon. Cornelius Oyefolu-Ojelabi, described PDP as a looting party and he further explained how corruption became a trademark under the Obasanjo/Atiku led Federal Government, "you live here, your children school here and you do your businesses here, voting for the ruling party in Lagos state is like an investment that will attract good roads, infrastructures and social amenities", he expressed.

Speaking before the people of the estate, Omooba Yinka Durosinmi said: "I live with you, during my six years as the council chairman, I didn't relocate, when elected as the member representing Ojo Federal constituency at the National Assembly, I will not leave you, I will not sleep around in hotels and I will not be a runaway representative".

In his remarks, the APC LGA chairman of Iba, Barrister Tunde Lawal appealed to the people to attract development to their community by voting for APC, the ruling party in Lagos state.
