Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Agboola Ajayi on Tuesday attended the official flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ondo Central Senatorial Candidate, Chief Omotayo Alasoadura at Akure Town Hall in Akure, the State Capital.

Ajayi charged party members to begin door to door campaign for the re-election of Alasoadura, President Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates of the party.

He noted that among those contesting the seat, Alasoadura remains the most credible, who, according to him, will use his re-election to attract more developmental projects to the central senatorial district.

The Deputy Governor lashed out at the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) central senatorial Candidate, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, who he said left behind liabilities rather than legacies.

Ajayi said the Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, who is also committed to Alasoadura, had been clearing the mess left behind by Mimiko.

He said “When we came on board, we met seven months unpaid salaries but I am happy to tell you that we have cleared six months.

“Despite the paucity of fund, we have not relent in our efforts in transforming the state. Work is currently ongoing at Oba Osupa road, Gaga, SIB-Alagbaka, Ijoka to Idanre roads among others.

“Not only in Akure that is the Governor is working. Work is also ongoing in Owo, Ikare, Ese-Odo, Idanre, Ore and other councils”.
