This is to alert the general public and the good people of Nigeria what First Bank is doing to its customers, especially those that have advanced in age.

Note: I'm not writing this to discredit the bank but to seek solution from Nairalanders, and also to alert the general public.
Before writing this I have gone to one of their branches, where I actually opened the account, but they didn't have solution.

On Monday, at exactly 7:11am, I recieve an alert that my account has been debited N5,842.23, savings account. I did not do any transaction nor sign up for anything; be it online or offline.

I quickly ran to one of their branches for explanation and to know if they can revert it. But to my greates surprise, none of their customers care staff knew the reason my account was debited.
They held me in the bank for complete 4hours, until i was told to fill a complaint form, which I did. But for them to attend me became another problem, I had to wait for extra 1hr. I spent N1,500 forT-fare to visit them I lose about N6,000 for shutting down my business.

When it became obvious that they purposely avoided my case, I left the bank.

When I narrated the story to some people, they told me that it might be one yahoo guy that work in the bank. One of them told me how his 78-year-old mum was debit 10,000 for no reason. That they mostly target old people who have acct with them.

Please, can anybody explain to me why First Bank debited my account?

Mine was from the 9th of Jan till now, no response.
Zenith bank

Mine was Sterling bank..
100naira was deducted for ATM maintenance..
Where's as I don't have an ATM card!
